I recently got a Day-Date real Rolecks from Q Factory, and the quality is excellent. I made a modification by replacing the so-called “diamonds” on the bezel with Moissanite, which has a much higher hardness. To improve the real even further, I could upgrade the crystal to a better sapphire crystal from Deep Crystal Factory.
I haven’t done that yet, but I plan to make the change this weekend. Many dealers in this industry offer customization services for high-end reals from well-known factories.
This includes modifications like swapping out the dial, handset, crystal, or even the movement. Some even go as far as building the case in solid white or yellow gold, making these custom pieces very expensive—especially those with genuine Swiss movements.
Just like the varying grades of real watches in the market, the diamonds used on them also come in different qualities. However, most reals, even from major factories, use inexpensive crystals. Very few feature Moissanite, and real diamonds are practically nonexistent in this field.
For the best Day-Date real Rolecks, I currently recommend Q Factory. They are much faster at processing orders compared to GM.
I’ve also heard rumors that GM and QF might actually be the same company—though I’m not sure if that’s true, the quality of their watches is remarkably similar.
