How long have you been a seller for?
It has been 8 years.I just started to contact this industry in 2016, when I was recommended by a friend to become a Guangzhou station west of the “backpacker”, specializing in accosting passers-by to sell watches, the profits at that time is very objective, in 2019, I put the money earned to rent a stall, in 2022, my stall was raided, lost a lot of, in 2023, I shifted the focus of sales business to the overseas market, everything started over again. What do you like most about your job?
I like to communicate with my customers and become friends, not only for business, but also to understand their customs and habits, and when they receive the watch I can even feel their satisfied smile, which gives me a great sense of satisfaction.
What do you like the least about your job?
I don’t mind customers’ seriousness about product quality, but I still meet some unfriendly customers who can’t accept some tiny defects, such as the 0.1MM deviation of the steel mark on the back of the bracelet, which they regard as “substandard” products, I’m very helpless.
If you were not a seller, what job would you like to have instead?
I had hoped to become a TV presenter lol and I used to work for a TV station somewhere in China, but the reality was far from smooth.
What is the funniest or weirdest thing a customer has ever asked you or said to you?
A client wanted to buy a Richard Mille RM011 and told me to ask that no one should be able to tell it was rep as he was going to use it to pay off a gambling debt ……
What is the meanest thing a customer has ever said to you and it hurt your feelings?
So far no customer has been mean to me, or I don’t think so, most of the customers I’ve contacted have been friendly, business is business, if you think it’s reasonable to deal, if it’s not, you can seek other sellers, that’s normal, but asking for a guarantee that the watch I’m selling will pay off my gambling debts, I’m really worried about his safety.

Do you wear or use reps too?
Yes, I wear a Cartier blue balloon all the time because my sister works at a Cartier counter and I used to take a magnifying glass to compare them and there was almost no difference at all.

Most people in China prefer CF green Submariner, but in overseas market, most buyers prefer VS datajust.
What is your favorite watch brand?
It’s a Rolex daytona, I have several in my own collection, but I rarely wear them, I usually only wear them when I go to a bar or a party, and it really works for socializing.
What watch do you like right now? If your buyer asks you what to buy, what would you recommend to them?
The favorite is AF’s Cartier Blue Balloon collection because it’s more relevant to the average person as opposed to a $100,000 watch, and it’s so well replicated that experts can’t tell the difference.
But if buyers ask me for recommendations, I’ll analyze their outfits and preferences to recommend, of course, VSF and CF products

I listen to everything, pop, R&B, jazz, I even go to the theater sometimes to listen to the symphony by myself, that relaxes me mentally.

If it’s Chinese, it’s Szechuan. If it’s Western, it’s burgers, I think.

I don’t have days off, if I forced myself to take a vacation, I would take my girlfriend on a trip, maybe to the beach, or another city trip

Sydney, because Australia has some of the most unique ecosystems and landscapes in the world.
