Last time, the Omega Aqua Terra 150m Worldtimer released by VS Factory was very popular.
Now, VS has introduced a new model: the Omega Planet Ocean Worldtimer. It comes in two versions—black and turquoise—and the turquoise model is definitely the more eye-catching of the two.
Since Clean closed down, VS has become the true leader in the replica watch market. Other manufacturers seem to be much more low-key. In the replica Rolex field, VS is likely to dominate the market, which isn’t necessarily great news for watch enthusiasts. Many people admire VS because they produce high-quality replicas of Panerai, Omega, and Rolex.
However, their watches aren’t flawless, so it’s important not to idolize them blindly—just like some did with Noob watches in the past. Take the Omega Planet Ocean Worldtimer replica as an example: although it’s made by VS, it still has its flaws.
First, this Omega replica is made with ceramic material. Let me share the measurements for the case diameter and thickness.
The case diameter measures between 45.3mm and 45.5mm, with a thickness of about 17mm—matching the genuine watch’s specifications.
The replica weighs 151.9 grams, which is heavier than the genuine model’s 143 grams.
On the authentic watch, the case is ceramic, but the crown and clasp are made of titanium. In the replica, the crown and clasp are likely stainless steel plated with black PVD, not titanium.

The movement inside is a super clone 8938, running at 28,800 vibrations per hour, while the genuine movement runs at 25,200. The core technology of this clone movement still differs considerably from the genuine Omega caliber. The factory basically added or removed modules on the original movement and then applied close decoration. It’s nothing groundbreaking, but the jewels are real, and the gears work properly. Many dealers claim this movement is a 1:1 clone of the original, but that’s not accurate. Still, it represents the most advanced watchmaking technology currently available in replica Omega watches.
