What’s good Repfam? It’s your guy back at it again with another review and this time it’s for another actual ownership review. Similar with the Guava Ice, i’ve had this pair for more than 6 months already and it is evident in the wear of the shoe, especially in the toe box area. Without further ado, let’s jump in:

The Union LA x Air Jordan 4 “Off Noir” is a unique take on the classic Jordan 4 silhouette, blending vintage aesthetics with modern design elements. The sneaker features a mix of suede and mesh in a predominantly black “Off Noir” upper, accented with Brigade Blue, Dark Smoke Grey, and Light Fusion Red details. A standout feature is the stitched-down tongue, which can be cut to reveal a traditional Jordan 4 tongue height. The yellowed midsole gives the shoe a retro, aged look, while the semi-translucent TPU wings add a contemporary touch. Union LA’s signature “UN/LA” tag is present on the lateral side, and the sneaker is finished with Nike Air branding on the heel for an authentic OG feel.

Released on August 29, 2020, via Union Los Angeles, with a wider SNKRS drop on September 30, 2020, the Off Noir colorway retailed for $250USD in North America.

Pros

• excellent quality of the black nubuck all over the upper
• good toe boxes (not boxy) and has that bit of taper which we want
• tongue is of correct size, tags are pretty good
• in my opinion having the tongue unfolded really nailed in the look
• iconic AJ4 triangular lace holder on the medial side has correct position and angle
• material inside the white netting on the sides similar to retail
• clear air bubble like legit pairs
• red Nike Air branding on the back heel tabs are aligned and matching
• blue sockliner colour and material very similar to retail
• red print on top of the black insole material is done well
• heel tabs are pretty decent which aren’t crooked
• very good inside size sticker
• UNLA box pretty accurate and comes with a pair of yellow laces and a Jordan keychain

Cons

• the left UNLA tag could use better placement but nonissue on-feet

On-Feet Experience

After six months of wear, the Union LA x Air Jordan 4 “Off Noir” remains durable and stylish, with the suede and mesh upper showing slight creasing and fading. The stitched-down tongue provides a snug fit if left intact, while the yellowed midsole blends naturally with wear. Comfort-wise, the Air cushioning offers decent support, though it’s not ideal for all-day wear due to the stiff ankle collar. Traction holds up well, but outsole wear is expected over time.
