The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5726 is a highly complex watch with multiple functions, making it extremely difficult to replicate a movement that can achieve all of them simultaneously.
However, if you’re wondering whether there is a high-quality replica of this watch, the answer is yes. I recall that two factories produce excellent replicas of the Patek Nautilus 5726—GR and PP. While I don’t think PP Factory’s version is significantly better than GR’s, PP Factory does charge a much higher price.
This Patek Philippe is a stunning watch—more elegant and visually appealing than the Nautilus 5712, which has been extremely popular in recent years. Let’s start with the movement. It is said to be based on a Japanese Miyota automatic movement, with PP Factory adding an extra plate on top and applying similar decorative finishes to the movement plates and rotor. Because of this modification, the case is noticeably thicker than the genuine model. I measured it at 40.5mm in diameter and 11.5mm in thickness. Some websites claim this movement is based on the Miyota 9015, but after checking, I found that the Miyota 9015 does not support as many functions. So, is this really accurate?
The watch features a blue dial with central hour, minute, and second hands, along with date, month, week, moon phase, and 24-hour displays. These functions are easily adjustable via the buttons positioned at the four corners of the case. Pressing the button at 2 o’clock changes the month, the button at 4 o’clock adjusts the date, and the button at 8 o’clock advances the moon phase, which operates just like the genuine model—moving slightly each day. The button at 10 o’clock adjusts the week display. The dial colour is impressively close to the genuine model, significantly better than the colour seen on PPF’s Nautilus 5712 replica.
However, I did notice two flaws on the dial. First, the date font appears slightly recessed, whereas on the genuine watch, the date sits closer to the dial plate. Second, when you pull out the crown to adjust the time, the second hand stops, while on the genuine watch, it continues running.
PP Factory also offers this 5726 replica in two additional colours—grey and white. The white dial version looks good and, at the very least, does not suffer from noticeable colour discrepancies.
