The following two models of the replica Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15407 were released by THB Factory recently.
About THB Factory
Many people may not be familiar with this relatively new watchmaker. I first heard of THB when they released the Day-Date 40mm Rolex replica a few months ago.
In a previous post, I speculated that THB might be connected to APS Factory, and now I’ve confirmed this to be true.
Some dealers who’ve handled their watches have also shared the same conclusion.
The Royal Oak 15407 Models
THB has introduced two models of the Royal Oak 15407:
- Stainless Steel Version
- Rose Gold Version
Both are powered by THB’s super clone AP 3132 movement, developed in-house. Thanks to this movement, the case size and thickness are identical to the genuine watch at 9.9mm.
One standout feature is the visible rotating balance wheel, unlike the earlier APS version, where the wheel was hidden. It’s also an improvement over ZF’s model, which had a non-functional wheel at the 7:30 position.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths:
- Skeleton Dial: The dial is a masterpiece. THB has done an exceptional job replicating the open-worked design. The wheel placement is accurate, and the overall construction closely resembles that of the genuine watch.
- Dial Aesthetics: While tiny differences exist, this is arguably the closest replica of the 15407 dial available.
Weaknesses:
- Golden Wheel Decoration: Upon closer inspection, the golden wheel lacks the decorative details seen on the genuine watch, such as the tiny screws.
Final Thoughts
THB Factory’s 15407 replica is an impressive achievement, particularly with the intricate skeleton dial. However, there’s still room for improvement in certain details.
Will Z Factory release a “perfect” ultimate version in the future? Only time will tell.
