Before VS Factory, many factories were producing Daytona replicas with increased weight, including APS, Gold, Q, and CBD. Some people also mention that BT has several weighted Daytona models. However, I do not recommend any of these makers for a weighted Daytona.

First, APS and Gold Daytonas use the SH4130 or SH4131 movement, but their cases have a high risk of peeling. Q Factory Daytonas usually don’t have this case issue, but they use the same movement, and the factory charges very high prices just for adding extra links to increase the weight. Second, the newer maker CBD has bracelets that are too thick and poorly finished. For these reasons, I don’t suggest buying a weighted Daytona from any of these factories.

In my opinion, VS Factory makes the best weighted Daytona on the market. They use the best clone 4130 and DD4131 movements. They also have rich experience making this type of Rolecks, especially from their success producing the 42mm YachtMaster years ago. Unlike others, the weighted Daytonas from VS don’t have case peeling problems. Additionally, their cases and bracelets can be repeatedly gold-plated without issues. Their prices are also more reasonable.

Over the past two years, VS Factory has made major strides in the replica Rolecks field. They are the main competitor to Clean and may even be outperforming them now. Below, I share pictures of weighted Daytona replicas from VS Factory.

However, these Daytonas from VS aren’t perfect and have two main drawbacks, using their stainless steel model as an example:

First, the watch weighs 184 grams. Even with extra weight added, it is still about 40 grams lighter than the genuine Daytona, though heavier than Clean’s version.

Second, the dial’s sunburst finish looks slightly shallower compared to the genuine watch. This seems to be a consistent issue across all VS Daytona watches. Clean Daytonas don’t have this problem. I admit Clean’s Daytona has a better sunburst finish and superior hand finishing on the dial.
