For those who are unfamiliar, Lepin was a Chinese knockoff bricks manufacturer (one among of many others, actually). Now it operates under KING name as well as additional brand Queen and Jack. This sub is not dedicated to Lepin/KING/Queen/Jack brands only, discussions and reviews of other brands are welcome.

And btw KING and MOULD KING are different brands.

As far as we know KING doesn’t have an official website and an official web store for buyers outside of China. Be aware that they are website claiming they are official Lepin or KING store, though they are not. Don’t buy from such websites before reading feedback and checking prices at other places. And use only safe paying methods like PayPal, never pay directly with your creadit or debit card.

Most of us buy Lepin at AliExpress, from Jeremy or from Loy Chen, however there are other options.

How to find KING or other brands on AliExpress? #

1) A lot of sellers are avoiding brand names now. Use either KING’s (or other brand’s) secode or original Lego setcode.

You can find setcodes of identical sets if you know setcode by any of the manufacturers using this website http://brick4.com/

2) Try to search in category using keywords. Search for keywords, so search string would look like that: https://aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&SearchText=fire+department

And then instead of “0” after catId past category code:

Supporting the original creators #

Lepin is known to not only copy Lego’s designs, but also MOCs they found on Lego Ideas or at other places online. Famous examples would be UCS Venator or the Apple Square University. We don’t know the origin of every MOC they have released, but some of the original creators have spoken about what they think about Lepin releasing their designs as sets – most are not pleased, of course. So if you do decide to purchase one of these sets, make sure you pay back the creator in one way or another. I have compiled a short list of some of the MOCs, and what the best way to pay them back is.

Building instructions #

Most Lepin/KING sets (exept the MOC copies) are replicas of Lego sets, so Lego instruction can be used: https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions Don’t forget to check set here http://brick4.com/ and translate info. It is usually pointed if set is different from the original.

Set lists #

Use http://brick4.com/ to find all the clones of the set. Contains usefull info if sets are modified compared to original. Also using filters you can browse sets by manufacturers.
